There are many reasons for choosing a suit, whether it’s for your first job interview, graduation, christening, wedding or a date. The ideal choice for a first multi-purpose suit should be a practical and classic charcoal grey.

Whichever the season, or occasion, a crisp white shirt (whether you opt for a linen shirt, silk shirt, or cotton) is your safest option for instant smart- appeal. It is a universally good choice- take note from primetime TV host Dermot O’Leary, who rocks a three-piece with aplomb! The colour of his suit tickles the scale of grey, but it is always matched with a pristine white collar.
