Slim Fit Non Iron Shirts

If the shape of your body belongs to categories such as ‘slender’ or ‘slim’, then you most probably need a slim fit shirt. People of these categories have a tendency to find tucked in shirts spilling out.

To avoid this problem the sleeves are made tighter and the sides of slim fit shirts are tapered into crescent-like curves rather than straight down at the sides which works as a solution to the problem. A regular fitted tailored shirt will also work well for the average body size, especially if you are not looking to achieve the slim fit look. How is a non iron shirt made?

The chosen shirt is initially cut and sewn to size with fusible interlinings applied to the seams. Then the shirt is immersed, washed, dried and hand-pressed to remove wrinkles. Furthermore the shirt is exposed to high levels of heat, which finishes the shirts shape. This process provides amazing results that when cared for, will last a lengthy amount of time. This process provides a superior shirt finish that can go with any chino pants for men, or suit trousers.

The process can be carried out on any of our fabrics, some work better than others so ask our professional outfitters for full information during your appointment.

I bought my first made to measure suit at the Liverpool Street showroom in August this year, and it did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and most importantly, patient. The range of fabrics colours and options for the suit were vast, and you can really make it your own - down to your initials sewn onto the inside of the jacket at no extra cost! The suit took around 3 weeks to be made, and when then a further week to adjust - not a lot needed doing. Now the suit fits perfect, and looks very special, not bad for £467. I'll be buying another when the time comes.

Recommended by a friend, I visited Editsuits for a wedding suit and shirt. Two of the staff I interacted with were super friendly and helpful, the measuring took an hour and the suit actually arrived a few days earlier than expected. Everything was spot on so I didn't need to have it altered. Given that I paid the same as similar off the peg suits would have cost me (and I did shop around) for a tailored fit I could not recommend them enough.
